Networking in Oregon February 2022

During visit to Roseburg, Oregon, February 8, 2022, my wife, Barbara, and I had great opportunity to network with other ministries on behalf of United International Moravian Ministry (UIMM) group.  A highpoint in our mission work there was a  meaningful lunch 2-3 hour meeting with The Rev. Merwin Johnson-Rhoades and his wife, Debbie.  Brother Merwin is a retired trucker who loves to share the gospel at truck stops and is Senior Pastor of Chemult Bible Fellowship.

Chemult Bible Fellowship (CBF) is a flourishing church, 2 hours drive by vehicle east of Roseburg, Oregon.   CBF is a Bible church for families in the heart of the Cascade mountains.   It is a great Commission of Jesus Christ and Discipleship Church, literally a place of New Beginnings.

Brother Merwin is interested in working with UIMM and we with them to better advance the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.  A plan discussed, together, is to open doors of ministry among Indian Tribes in the area.  One big idea is to support holding a Native religious conference in the area that would touch several tribes, and especially the Klamath Tribe in southern Oregon.

We thank Pastor Earl Carlson (shown in photo) of Roseburg, Oregon, for introducing my wife and I to Rev. Merwin and his wife.  Shown is Brother Earl, my daughter, Parsha (with her daughter Evonna), and my dear wife, Barbara, after last Sunday’s worship in a home in Roseburg.

Chemult Bible Fellowship church website can be found at www.chemultbiblefellowship.org.  It is here, where they also have a facebook site that broadcasts sermon messages to the world.

Please pray that God will bless the connections we all are making for the Kingdom of God!
