A brief report on Bishop George Lee, a United International Moravian Ministry consecrated bishop, on continuerd mission work in the Philippines. During October 2023 he traveled for a much needed trip to the Philippines during October, his first trip there since the pandemic. During the October visit, Bishop Lee convened a meeting of the leadership. A former leader Dante Dangallo is no longer an approved pastor of Allied Mission Church (AMC).
Bishop Lee shares: “At present, the ministry is confined to Davao de Oro and South Cotabato provinces on the island of Mindanao, Philippines. Our overseer in South Cotabato is Edwin Dangallo, who is none other than a brother to the above. Despite the kinship, he has opted to remain and even refuse the previous financial support from his brother. Edwin was an AMC-sponsored missionary to Cambodia for several years before returning to the Philippines as a church-planter. I’ve always considered him a loyal friend. He pastors Centrala Church and supervises two small congregations, one at Bagumbayan and another in Tubi-Allah.
Our overseer in Davao de Oro province is Ramel Gubalane. He pastors Maco Church, and helps provides direction to churches at Salvacion and Pangi, as well as evangelistic outreaches in Anibongan, Binuangan, and Concepcion. Pastor Ramel is also developing a simple, rustic retreat center to be called “Prayer Mountain” in the outlying area of Manipongol.
The year 2024 is a time to re-set and re-build for AMC: we need to establish true unity among ourselves, a common doctrine and practice. May you all be strong in God’s grace, being similar to the apostle Paul who did not make God’s grace without effect, but worked harder than all the others” (1 Cor. 15:10).
Our continued prayers for Bishop George Lee and the leadership in the Philippines and Cambodia in their ongoing work for our Savior Jesus Christ.
Our Lamb Has Conquered; Let Us Follow Him.
