DEDICATION MESSAGE FOR NEW CATHEDRAL BUILDING IN HONDURAS/FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

Ephesians 3:30 tell us – “God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think according to the power that is at work in you.”

Welcome To This Dedication Service. There is so much happening in our lives! So much going on with God’s people gathered here today. Today is a gathering of God’s people. It is no accident that you are here.

My name is Bishop William Nicholson from Alaska. On behalf of the leadership of the United International Moravian Ministry group and World Fellowship of Moravian Revival Churches and in Christ Jesus name, we extend a sincere Christian welcome to all who have joined us today! Especially for any Traditional Moravian Pastors and leaders, it is my belief that we must agree to be in unity as an uncorrupted spotless church because Christ is coming soon. As Moravian heritage people we must always agree to be in unity! Praise God. Today, October 20, 2026 is another truly historic occasion for the United International Moravian Ministry Group in La Ceiba, Honduras.

As we gather we want to give a word of thanksgiving for all those that made it possible to erect this fine new church building and residence for your Pastor and Bishop. Certainly, first of all we should thank The Right Reverend Bishop Isai and his wife, Tangni, for conceiving and envisioning building such a building. It is my prayer that you will strongly support this church leader and his people, and together make a firm commitment and to show the world that the Moravian Revival Church in Honduras and in the world is to remain. What God builds, no one can destroy it. Bishop Isai Granwell, we cannot thank you enough.

A few years ago, first purchasing the land for the building was a hurtle. Several thousands of dollars were donated by a big friend of UIMM in Alaska. We thank a big business man, Mr. Jerry Ball of Dillingham, Alaska who owns a large salmon buying and processing company. UIMM over the last several years have provided dollars for building materials and finish up work. This could not have happened without the constant prompting of Bishop Isai. Bishop Isai is a great mover and shaker for Jesus Christ. He is also a good conversationalist. He keeps us informed. He lets us know what the needs have been. And we have done our best to help him, maybe not timely, but in God’s Will it has happened; that’s why we are here today.

I probably miss mentioning some important people, but certainly, Bishop Isai’s son, Smerling Granwell was instrumental in getting the permits , drawings, and purchasing of materials and overseeing the building of this fine looking establishment. I call it a Cathedral. It is a wonderful looking building, outside and inside. We thank him, for the construction workers, for all of Bishop Isai’s family, his wife and children helped where they could.

Certainly today, as we come to dedicate this building we thank God for His provision, and we are here to consecrate and dedicate the space as a residence for a fine Christian family and most important as a space for spiritual and academic growth and commitment shown to teach the next generation.

We must have hearts full of gratitude for God’s provision. We acknowledge this building is a gift and a result of God’s timing, grace and faithful prayer and assistance from members of your Church here in La Ceiba.

We do not hide what God does in our lives. Psalm 37:4 says, “we will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord”. This house belongs to God. Like King Solomon, the wisest man said in 1 Kings 8:28-29 and 2 Chronicles 7:15-16 we want God’s holy presence there. In the scripture I just mentioned it shows us that King Solomons temple dedication prayer emphasized God’s constant presence and help for the people. We desire this place we dedicate to be a place of holy fire and constant prayer; a place we pray will have a special presence of God. In Psalm 16:11, it says – “your presence fills me with joy and brings me pleasures forever!”

Also for anyone that uses this new building it is for the glory of God. Matthew 7:24 is a good verse for showing us a household’s commitment to serviing the Lord and building lives on a solid rock foundation. It says, there in the NKJV, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who build his house on the rock.

At this time we will dedicate this place to God’s glory:

The Bishop shall say performing an act of consecration says, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, I consecrate this building, to the worship of the triune God, to the teaching of the Gospel and discipling of all ages, and a sanctuary of peace and love in full agreement to the policies of the Moravian Revival Churches.”

Bishop Nicholson’s prayer: Almighty God, we praise you for all you have done, are doing, and will do in this space. Our hearts are full of gratitude for those who labored, planned, and provided resources for the project. We pray for continual Protection for the ministry from this building. We ask for safety and structural integrity through all seasons of use.
We know that purpose of this building is for worship, community healing, education, work and family gatherings. It is my prayer dear God that anyone who walks through the doors feels safe, respected and valued – that Christ will always be uplifted for salvation and discipleship.

We declare this new space solely for your glory. We dedicate this place; come help us, Lord! Within these walls, may love be shared, may truth be found, and may all who enter find rest and peace.
Bless this building from roof to floor, from wall to wall, from foundation to all its coverings. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.”

Note: After the dedication three or four days later, the new refurbrished table showed up. Shown are Bishop’s Isai’s chidren and grandkids.
