UIMM Mission Report: New Moravian Revival Pastors Ordained in Honduras

The following trip report for travel to the nation of Honduras on October 16-23, 2026 is undoubtably a portrayal of God’s blessing and glory shown.  It is the author of this report and Bishop Isai Granwell’s opinion that God showed up!  They both agreed that Holy Ghost fire erupted in the two cities visited by Bishop Nicholson.  This was shown by what appeared to be a supernatural appearance of God’s presence, great joy, blessing, unusual support by several Traditional Moravian Pastors of Honduras.  Additionally surprisingly, two discrete visions/words of knowledge (one from a new Moravian Revival Pastor and the other from the Honduras Traditional Church) supporting our mission for Christ were given to Bishop Nicholson immediately after the gatherings.

The mission trip to the Central American cities of Tegucigalpa and La Ceiba, Honduras was  approved by the UIMM Board of Directors in autumn of 2026.  The UIMM Vice-President – The Rev. Ferdinand Sharp and Bishop Nicholson were directed to travel from Anchorage, Alaska, to Seattle, Washington, Miami, Florida, then directly to Comayagua, Honduras 75 miles northeast of Tegucigalpa.  Travel round-trip by Alaska and American Airlines for the two was expected to be in the range of $1200 to $3300 per person, not counting expenses in nation, which would also be significant.

This mission trip was postponed twice due to lack of sufficient dollars for round trip for participants from Anchorage, Alaska and support for expenses in Honduras, i.e. travel by truck and bus, for conference food, and to assure that sufficient dollars were generated for the round trip travel.  In addition to UIMM’s participants travel dollars needed to be provided for Pastor Oscar Revira from Puerta Limpera and his wife as well as Pastor Joser Richardo Bodden Lopez of the Muncipality of Santa Rosa de Aguan, Department of Colon due south of La Ceiba near the Carribean Sea.

Thankfully on Sunday, October 11, 2026, just before a third possible postponement, God provided a donation from a lady of $2,200 which appeared to be ample funds for the mission trip to happen.  It was felt additional funds would have to be arranged for.  But last minute, what made the trip possible was Pastor Ferdinand Sharp terminating the trip due to reasonable concerns.  No one else on UIMM’s Directorship including Bishop Nicholson’s wife, could not go.  Finally it was decided that the trip should not be postponed because of Bishop Isai Granwell, who urged Bishop Nicholson to travel alone.

Bishop Nicholson departed Anchorage on October 16 and per the earlier schedule arrived Comayagua on October 17, where Bishop Isai and several other elders and leadership awaited him.   After a several hour trip from Comayagua Airport to Tegucigalpa, Bishop Nicholson, along with Bishop Granwell held an orientation meeting for the brothers who would be ordained at Brother Benigo Jackson’s Moravian Revival Church (formerly the church, which Bishop Geraldo Nixon pastored for several years before he departed to minister in Florida, USA).

The orientation meeting with the to be ordained pastors was exceptional in what was shared.  Good questions were asked and answered.  And an important decision was made in God’s grace to prosecute the ordination service the next day, October 18, 2026, utilizing the forehand prepared ordination bulletin and ordination vows which would be passed out to the audience.  Bishop Nicholson made it clear what the vows meant, which should never be broken.  He also assured that everyone understood that we would seek to remain a spotless Church.  And most important that God has called us into end day mission to evangelize and disciple the Church.  Importantly Bishop Nicholson made it clear that we are in the last days and every effort must be made that unity prevails and that there is no need to battle with the Traditional Moravian Church.  Instead we must agree to work in unity because Christ’s coming is immanent.

Bishop Nicholson was tired from the trip to Honduras, so thankfully he was able to go to bed in Pastor Jackson’s home after midnight, and got up for breakfast at 7 am on October 18, 2026. There was no running water and only one non-flushable toilet for a huge number of people.  After getting cleaned he was the only person that had coffee especially made thanks to Bishop Isai’s daughter in-law, Nicole, who was helping to cook for the many participants.

The ordination service was held on Sunday morning was attended by four traditional Moravian ministers.  It was an amazing service of blessing, joy, and afterwards a special luncheon was provided for everyone which provided an opportunity for enhanced fellowship.

The photo shown here is (left to right) is Bishop Isai Granwell, UIMM International Outreach Director (La Ceba).  Next to Bishop Isai are the three ordained new UIMM Moravian Revival Pastors.  They are Pastor Benigo Jackson (Tegucigalpa), Pastor Oscar Alfredo Rivera (Puerta Lempira), and Pastor Joser Richardo Bodden Lopez (Municipality of Santa Rosa de Aguan Department of Colon); and myself shown – Bishop William Nicholson (Anchorage, Alaska)

Sunday evening on October 18 at Tegucigalpa, a second special worship service was held, which lasted at least three hours from 7 pm – 10 pm.  Special singing happened.  One of them was our new pastor Oscar Rivera, who earlier was on the floor.  When he sang it was a special impartation of God’s Spriit upon us all.  His song is recorded on social media.

The messenger for the evening was by the youngest new pastor, brother Joseph Bodden, who formerly was Vice-President of the Honduras Province.  His message was amazing!  Bishop Isai was impressed with the word and the presence of the Holy Spirit.  Bishop Nicholson had a special app which simultaneously recorded and translated from Spanish to English.  The following is part of what Pastor Bodden shared:  “This is the Word that our Father sends us tonight.  Because He is fire and wonderful.  For the honor and glory of my heavenly Father.  Amen. Believe me, dear brothers, I feel very grateful to my heavenly Father.  I do not feel neither great or small, I only feel grateful to the Lord.”  And he went on to mention the following: “I only know it was a 10-year process that I waited for with this promise. The Lord had made me in regard to this ordination and the bishops decided, with the illumination, of the Holy Spirit, to fulfill this promise. Although the Lord revealed to me that when I was near by the ordination I was going to receive, that the devil would rise up against my life so that he could prevent the work the Lord would do. But thanks to the Lord, God protected and yes, the devil rose up. But we remain steadfast with the help of our heavenly Father. And I thank You, beloved God, and may the Lord bless His church and bless His bishops and the church, a glorious church in glory and in victory. God bless you. Amen”

The main portion of Brother Bodden’s message dealt with the Pharisees and the Herodites preparing to trap Jesus Christ, and to find a way to accuse him.  The Word mentions that Jesus Christ knew the intention that was in their hearts.  “The very word of our Lord Jesus Christ”, Bodden says, “teaches us such an important key:  the importance of spiritual discernment as a special gift that has been conceived by the Holy Spriit for the life of the Church.”  And he continues, “therefore, we must appreciate the love His divine Word so that we can acquire that discernment of knowing how to distinguish between what is good and what is evil, between what is true and what is false.  We know we are living in the last days and that the adversary prepares His evil for how to attack the children of God.   You who are here; the only way to be able to discern between good and evil is to have knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to give our lives into His hands, to recognize what He is, the Savior of our soul, and that, having the presence of His Holy Spirit we can, dear brothers, overcome and nullify all the force of the evil one. The presence of the Holy Spirit is necessary in our life, which burns like fire for the honor and glory of my heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit must be present every day in our life for the honor and glory of my heavenly Father. Amen”.  Very special words!

After the evening service which ended around 10 pm, food was served next door near the church.  Then after eating, a special problem solving meeting was held with the Pastor Benigo Jackson, pastor of the Tegucigalpa Moravian Revival Church – Casa de Dios Puerta al Cielo Iglesia Morava.  Present at the meeting was his accountant and all elders of the Church.  The issues dealt with were primarily two things, i.e. past due rent of $1500 and the need to install new steel beams to keep the church roof from collapsing.  Bishop Nicholson promised to bring these concerns back to UIMM in Alaska to deal with.

After the meeting Bishop Isai mentioned to Bishop Nicholson and other members of the La ceiba Church that we will travel with his diesel truck at 4 am in the morning.  So they had just 3 and ½ hours to sleep.  On October 19, 2006, the trip from Tegucigalpa took almost eight hours one way.  No sleep. In the truck were at least seven passengers.

The group arrived La Ceiba approximately 1 pm, tired but full of spirit!  After meeting Bishop Isai’s Children Bishop Nicholson agreed after his inspection of the new Christian Education building and Residence (which was absolutely astonishing in its excellence) that the diesel truck needed work.  Bishop Isai’s bright red colored diesel truck needed new coolant and an oil change,  Bishop Isai and Bishop Nicholson soon went to a mechanic and had the work done on UIMM’s expense.  Afterwards and finally late evening on October 19, approximately midnight after lots of visitation, Bishop Nicholson was able to sleep for almost 7 hours, which was refreshing.

On October 20, 2026, Bishop Isai, his wife, Tangi, and his son Jeremi went shopping for food for the final and third special worship service.  This worship and dedication service was unannounced for evening on October 20, 2026, 6 pm.  But somehow the word got out; two Traditional Moravian Pastors participated and the Church was full of excited and serious worshippers.  At this service God showed up again (see photo of Bishop Isai’s people singing in front of church).  While singing was ongoing, Bishop Nicholson found myself kneeling on the floor.  Soon afterwards he was introduced and presented the evening message.

Bishop Nicholson, with interpretation by Bishop Isai Granwell, began with a word from Ephesians 3:20 – “God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think, according to the power at work in you”.  He mentioned that so much is happening in our lives.  It is no accident we are here.  Bishop Nicholson extended a warm welcome to this historic gather on behalf of the UIMM & WFMRC and in Christ name.  He then explained to the congregation how Bishop Isai conceived and envisioned building the Christian Education and Residence next door and where the funding came from. Appreciation was given to major contributors as well as Bishop Isai’s son, Smerling who is an engineer overseeing the construction of the building.  Through him, the permits, drawings and purchasing of materials.  Also the construction workers were thanked.

Bishop Nicholson made it clear that the new cathedral building was a work of God, a gift and a result of God’s timing, grace, and faithful prayer and assistance from members of his own church in La Ceiba. Reflecting on God’s word from Psalm 37:4 Bishop Nicholson made a statement that this work must not be hid from the descendants of this church so that the deeds of the Lord will be remembered.  And that the to be dedicated house belongs to God.  Bishop Nicholson then read 1 Kings 8:28-29 expressing King Solomon’s prayer should also be our prayer that we want God’s presence in the new building.  And that we pray for God’s Holy Fire to be there and that it is a place of constant prayer.

And finally Bishop Nicholson made it clear that the purpose of the building is for worship, community healing, education, work and family gatherings.  And that his prayer to God is that anyone who walks through the doors feel safe, respected and valued, that Christ will always be lifted up for salvation and discipleship.  And during his dedication prayer later, Bishop Nicholson declared this new space is solely for the glory of God.  As this place is dedicated in the name of the Triune God, within those walls will love be shared, truth be found, and that all who enter it will find rest and peace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

As the evening worship service ended the sky appeared to be pouring out “Living Waters”.  In the down pour, the leadership went next door to dedicate the new building.  Food was shared.

Then at 11 pm that same night, Bishop Isai Granwell, his wife, with Bishop Nicholson drove by taxi to catch a bus from La Ceiba to Comayagua Airport.  Being transported all night, little sleep happened due to the rocking of the bus around mountainous curves.  They arrived Comayagua at 5:30 am on October 21, 2026.

After breakfast together, Bishop Isai, his wife and Bishop Nicholson prayed, hugged and said good byes. Bishop Nicholson then boarded the American Airlines jet from Comayagua Airport at 2 pm, Honduras time and returned via Miami, Florida, to Seattle Washington (where he slept on chair from midnight to 5:30 am), then boarded an Alaska Airlines flight to Anchorage, Alaska at 8:45 am.  Bishop Nicholson’s wife, Barbara, thankfully picked him up at Ted Steven’s International airport at 11:50 am, October 22, 2006.

In conclusion, it is felt this trip to Honduras will go down in history as a high point in the end day Moravian Revival movement, which United International Moravian Ministry group is!  After Bishop William Nicholson’s return to Alaska (and what he heard even before he left Honduras), was that the entire Moravian World was watching.  What has evolved is more visible support from Traditional Moravian pastors, who believe that UIMM is indeed an uncorrupted, spotless Moravian movement to ready the world before Christ comes in the clouds with glory.  Truly it is felt that Bishop William Nicholson’s words should ring true – “there is no need for civil war among the Moravian Churches!   We need to, as our Moravian heritage demands, to remain in Unity no matter our differences and work in Unity to prepare the world for Christ’s coming.”

And indeed three more powerful, anointed by the Holy Spirit and well-educated articulate bible-centered Moravian Revival pastors, who understand their centuries old Moravian heritage, were ordained to serve full time in mission for evangelism and discipleship.  And a new excellent well-crafted UIMM Christian Education Building and Residence in La Ceiba exists to show the world UIMM will remain.
