Some Notes: Teaching on Spiritual Warfare

Read Scripture Passage: Mark 1:21-28
I feel that God wants me to teach on Spiritual Warfare a bit.
Let’s pray: Dear God you have given us authority over the demonic world. In Christ and through His Word and in His blood we have victory. Thank you. In Christ name. Amen.
Spiritual Warfare is Real! Try to live for Christ; you will come under spiritual attack; demonic attack. My daughter saw a big black shadow looking like a large demon shaped like a man, a couple of weeks ago. It got me thinking.
Anyhow, whether we realize it or not, there is a demonic world that is touch us, every day; some of do not recognize it for what it is. After all Paul the Apostle said that we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness. We must be aware of the warfare in order to win the battle.
As I study God’s Word I hope to share more with you and maybe you can help me too!

Anyhow what I’ve experienced is that the Enemy comes against us in three basic ways:
1. Oppression. The devil knows how to harass you, and demon spirits will oppress you. You will experience stress and hopelessness, even depression.
2. Obsession. The devil can cause a big change in ones emotions and in one’s soul. Something that will drive them and get caught in a rut of destructive thinking and actions. Unforgiveness and bitterness can be part of this.
3. Possession. It is possible for the devil, through one of his demons, to possess a person. He takes control of his mind, his emotions and his will. We see this in the New Testament reference (above) and there are people that are possessed. They hear voices; they see things; they are not normal.
My prayer is that if you or anyone you know is experiencing these, we must begin prayer for them. If they love Christ, it must recognized especially if one has been born again and wants to to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and especially if you want to serve Him, there’s a spiritual battle that begins! Satan will fight you with his demons.
But know this, there is “NO NEED FOR FEAR OR DOUBT”. We’ve been leaning that we can use the blood of Jesus Christ NOT ONLY FOR FORGIVENESS OR DELIVERANCE BUT ALSO FOR PROTECTION. At the Cross Satan has been defeated. Jesus has authority over the enemy and all of the powers of darkness. The demons recognize Jesus’s authority and His blood. They must always yield to it. And we if we are in full relationship with Jesus and filled with His Spirit; we also can pray and command demons to leave; they recognize the authority that believers have.
I’M LEARNING ANEW THAT We must be aware of them and deal with them often daily. so like Paul the Apostle says, “Be vigilant, be sober”. But do not be afraid. INSTEAD THE DEMONS ARE afraid of you when you recognize who you are in Jesus, and the authority He has given you. Again Spiritual warfare is a reality we need to wake up to and Apply it to our lives.
If you are experiencing oppression or obessions, recognize the spiritual warfare around you, it’s time to deal with these. If you are possessed that’s another story. It may take a team to help you.
Tonight we will begin by first getting right with our Savior. Repent first, ask for the filling and begin to pray for victory. Get alone or get with some prayer warriors and take authority over the enemy in the name of Jesus. Clean up your life. The Bible says, “resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
According to the Bible the devil is a deceiver. In Eph. 6:11, Paul talks about the wiles of the devil. What is a wile? A WILE IS A TIRICK OR A TRAP. THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE TRAPPED LIKE I HAVE, KNOW WHAT A TRAP OR SNARE CAN DO TO GET WILD ANIMALS. FOR THEM ITS HARD TO GET OUT OF. FOR US IT MAY BE DIFFICULT, BUT WE CAN BE FREED through application of the Word of God and Prayer.
According to the Bible, they are too many to count lying and deceiving spirits that work under the authority of Satan. What are these called? They are deceiving, lying, seducing spirits.
I will share at least three verses that we can pray and can claim that will help you tonight. These verses deal with darts, gossip, generational curses:
1. Eph. 6:16 – I quench with the shield of faith every fiery dart the enemy sends my way.
2. Proverbs 26:20 – I quench all gossip directed against my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Galatians 3:13 – I am redeemed from the curse through the blood of Jesus. This is a big one. Deut. 11:26 tells us we can choose blessing instead of cursing and life instead of death. Our prayer can be simply
