Happy Resurrection Day!

Happy Resurrection Day everyone!  The AncMC celebrated a very early Easter Sunrise service at the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.  The sunrise was was at 6:30 am, so the actual service began at 6:15 am on Sunday, April 17, 2022.  Judging by the attendance, possibly we need to think of when the sun rises at the tip-top of the mountain ridge.  That would give us 29 minutes more of preparation and allow more people to attend possibly.  At 6:59 the sun began to shine brightly at the tip-top of the beautiful snow topped Chugach mountains.

Bishop Nicholson and his wife, Barbara, thanks all of you for attending the early outdoor graveside service!  If anyone wants to view it, the worship service was broadcast at “Anchorage Moravian Church” or William Nicholson Facebook site.  28 names of our deceased brothers and sisters since the last Easter 2021 were read outload.

Birds were singing during the Anchorage Moravian Church Easter sunrise service.  Bishop Nicholson saw his first spring Seagull flying overhead in the cemetery as they visited his daughter Ani’s grave, and also Billy’s two children, Oscar & Cindy.  Shown are a few of our attendees with Jerilyn Nicholson’s mother, Barbara (4th from lelft).

The AncMC will conduct it’s Easter Moravian Lovefeast worship at 2 pm.  This will be at 3512 Robin Street in the east Anchorage Muldoon area.  In the evening we will conclude our day with an Easter evening Singspiration service, 6 pm.
