Pastor Leon Kiana, a former Friends Pastor who served in Northwest Alaska and Anchorage, for several years, was consecrated/reaffirmed as a United Alaska Moravian Ministry (UIMM) group pastor. This consecration on behalf of UIMM was officiated by Bishop William Nicholson happened on December 31, 2021, at the 6 pm Friday Night Ministry in Anchorage, Alaska.
Brother Leon first attended the AncMC in April 1999. He actively involved himself in the life of the AncMC and eventually became Administrative Assistant to Nicholson in autumn of 2007. After 11 and 1/2 years of active membership in the AncMC, he attended the Friends Church Bible Training School in Kotzebue, Alaska for three years.
UIMM’s Directors applaud Pastor Leon’s past effort for our Savior, Jesus Christ. We thank him for serving as the Pastor overseeing UIMM’s weekly Friday Night Ministry. This ministry begins at 6 pm, at 3512 Robin Street, Anchorage, Alaska.
