Please invite family and friends to attend! Many will be away subsistence fishing and gathering, and hope is there to prioritize this weekend. Certainly prayers are there for this weekend to be very special for someone and more than someone. Sadly, I will be missing out on these special services, since I am still away commercial fishing in Bristol Bay. But I will be praying that lives will be touched in a positive and powerful way. As one truly comes to know Jesus Christ as Savior, one must come to know that the name of name of Jesus carries huge power and authority. When invoked with faith, the name of Jesus can bring about healing, deliverance, salvation, and victory over spiritual forces.
Acts 4:12 tells us that the name of Jesus is the only name given under heaven by which people can be saved. Several other biblical sources tell us that demons tremble and flee at the name of Jesus according to several sources.
And lastly according to what I just read in Luke 10:17-20 the early church performed miracles in the name of Jesus, and believers today can experience healing and other supernatural results through faith in his name. Again, encouragements are there to bring anyone who is wrestling with demons, oppressed, depressed or don’t really know Christ as personal savior yet.
In Luke 10:17-20 it says, “The Seventy returned with joy. “Lord,” they said, “at your name the demons are subject to us.” He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven. Look you–I have given you authority to walk upon snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the Enemy. Nothing will hurt you. But do not rejoice in this–that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Humility must always be there. Our greatest glory is not what we can do in Christ name, but in what God has done for us
