A big God bless you!
Since June 2024, apology for not getting any information out, but the United International Moravian Ministry (UIMM) group continues to move forward. Encouragements are there for Unity no matter the battle. Together, we continue to move forward doing everything to expand and grow God’s Kingdom.
Our goal always is to catch people fish by fulfilling the Great Commission of the Lamb of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, whereever we are! OUR LAMB HAS CONQUERED; LET US FOLLOW HIM!
As a bishop of UIMM, I continue to solicit your prayers for all of our leaders, pastors, and other Christian workers throughout the nations that fall under our sphere of influence through UIMM and the World Fellowship of Moravian Revival Churches. Following is just an extremely brief sketchy outline of a few of of the limited activities since spring of 2024:
- Although his fish buyer in Bristol Bay, Alaska, experienced a serious fire on board its floating fishing buying/processing platform, shuttng down operations for a time, during the high point of the sockeye season, Bishop Nicholson completed his June-July 2024 commercial fishing season, safely and successfully. Bishop Nicholson continues to be available by phone and email, anytime.
- Worked closely with New Herrnhut builder, Brother Dean Carl to conduct end of July 2024 meeting in Anchorage Moravian Church with special speaker/Admissions Director from Kentucky Mountain Bible College. This may provide opportunity for three or four new students who may attend college. This will prepare young Moravian Revival students to attend college with preparations for the Mission field and future leadership among our national and worldwide Moravian Revival Churches.
- On June 12, 2024 – September 1, 2024, a UIMM Pastor from Roseburg, Oregon, The Rev. Earl Carlson and his two outgoing teens are administering the Anchorage Moravian Church during Bishop Nicholson’s absense. Thanks to them in August, Bishop Nicholson is visiting Oregon to visit family, yet keeping office open, from afar.
- On August 12, 2024, an invitation by Bishop Nicholson has gone out for a Mission Team from the Philippines to conduct revival and strickly evangelistic services in Anchorage, Alaska in October 2024.
- In September 2024, which has been in the works, hopefully, a UIMM pastor from Arizona will conduct two weeks of revival services in Anchorage, Bethel, and Dillingham, and possibly a weekend of Pastors training in Anchorage, Alaska.
- In the works also (and approved by Altice and Yvonne) is for Evangelist Janet Altice, a well known international minister with her friend, top Canadian Gospel Singer, Yvonne St. Germaine coming to Anchorage, Alaska to help end our year or bless our new Year in early 2025. Both will bless our Churches in Anchorage with continuing revival services. We pray visitors will visit us from all over Alaska for this event.
- In Uganda, thanks to Bishop Arabous Odongo, the work continues for planting new Churches, supporting an orphanage and managing a Christian radio station. A few weeks ago, he conducted a training and encouragement Conference with over 20 Moravian Revival pastors in Uganda.
- In Honduras, please pray for Bishop Isai Granwell (UIMM’s International Outreach Director), who began work on building from the ground up, a new Christian Education Center and residence for the UIMM work in his country.
- In Tanzania, Bishop Emmaus Mwamakula continues to work in influencing Churches and governmental officials to remember our Christian heritage and to keep followng the Lamb of God.
- In Cuba, please continue to pray for our leadership there, among the five Moravian Revival Churches. Life is difficult there since food and resources are difficult similar to Africa and Honduras. Pray for strong leadership there.
- The enemy has tried to stop us at every turn. Please pray for our pastors and their wives. Internationally we have a Pastor’s wife who has a serious illness and money is short. One of our pastors is in prison and others are experiencing hunger and continued poverty. Please pray for donors who will help our ministries. We are certainly thankful that a “Walking Tractor” which UIMM financed is now beginning in July tilling the ground in Uganda to plan crops to feed hungry people.
- In September 2024, Bishop Willliam Nicholson will be calling for an autumn UIMM Director’s meeting in Anchorage, Alaska. Topics may include decision making on receiving a new UIMM Pastor in Alaska, approvals for yet another bishop in America, selling a portion of UIMM owned land for an orphanage and international retreat center in Alaska, and soliciting financial help, among other issues, so we can continue the important work of spreading the Gospel to the World in these end days.
